A bi-monthly meet-up for creatives, makers, artists and producers working with communities. This month's theme is hybrid (digital/physical) art practices and ways to connect.

About

Project Nights are for creatives to meet each other, share ideas, and get feedback. This month, we are hosting a special Project Night to eat together and think about how we came together in the last year physically and digitally.  We will be connecting with the themes and ideas of the new Knowle West Media Centre project, Come Together.

Come Together will be commissioning a new cohort of artists and digital content creators to explore creative hybrid (digital/phyisical) ways of reimaging and recreating the inclusive shared spaces and experiences we need to connect and come together during/after the pandemic. This event is a chance to find out more about the Come Together project and commissioning opportunities, discuss initial proposal ideas and ask questions. We will also hear from invited guests Anagram, who will discuss their project ‘Messages to a Post Human Earth’, an immersive story about the end of our species and hiding DNA in plants.

Project Night is part of the national Social Art Network (SAN). It is open to everyone and welcomes artists working with communities, those interested in social art and those just wanting to connect with creatives across Bristol.

The event will be available both virtually via Zoom and physically at KWMC in Bristol following COVID safety measures. Please let us know if you have any access needs, enquiries about our COVID safety measures, or any other questions.

If you would like to come, please RSVP to georgia@kwmc.org.uk by 23 June with whether you would like to attend virtually or in person.
