FRIDAY 13 JULY 6-9 SATURDAY 14 JULY 3-7 SUNDAY 15 JULY 3-7 To be human is to exercise free will. When judgement is clouded during extreme states, the fallout from stretching this unique freedom can run anywhere from simple nagging feelings of self-doubt all the way to acute inner turmoil. Regret & Embarrassment brings together a group of artists, performers and writers to explore the meaning and consequence of these sentiments. Over the course of a weekend we aim to provide insight into both the events that cause this behaviour and the work that has been catalysed by these post-traumatic sensations. It is our intention to create a temporary salon; the work being as much a part of the wall as a newspaper cutting in a porta cabin, a saucy calendar in a mechanics garage or a year tally in a prison cell. This provides the environment for us to host a weekend of discussion. Expect noise, horror, jubilation and surprise glimpses into the lives of intelligent people who often do foolish things. We look forward to your company over the weekend. The show opens on Friday 13 July. On Saturday afternoon there will be a programme of lectures. reading and performances. This will be followed on Sunday with a Jerk Chicken cook-off outside the gallery.
