Join us for the third in a new series of informal weekday morning talks at OVADA. Professionals working in the creative industries will be invited to talk about their projects and contemporary practices.
About
On 28th September, Christiane Monarchi, the founding editor of ‘Photomonitor’ and Leonie Bradley, editor of ‘Printmaking Today’, will share their experiences as publishing editors. This in-conversation will offer an interesting insight into the perceived advantages and disadvantages of working in both print and online platforms respectively.
Christiane Monarchi is the founding editor of the online magazine Photomonitor, dedicated to photography and lens-based media in the UK and Ireland, and has published almost 1,000 features from more than 200 artists and writers online since 2011. Christiane is also a freelance curator, lecturer, judge of photography prizes and competitions and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Photofusion, London.
Leonie Bradley is an artist, member of the Society of Wood Engravers and Editor of Printmaking Today. Leonie has an MA in Multi-disciplinary Printmaking from UWE in Bristol and has work in many private and public collections including the V&A and the Ashmolean.
