SESSION 1: INTRODUCTION TO PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY
10AM – 2PM

During this 4-hour morning workshop, you will be introduced to Product Photography.

In this session, you will be shown the difference between Product Photography and Lifestyle Photography.

Yeshen will guide you through camera basics and show you how to find and use natural light, how to use a tripod and other photography accessories, image editing basics and how to use your images on your website, newsletter and social media.

During this 4-hour session, you will…

• Understand why the product needs to be the hero.
• Learn how natural light can be used and how to control it.
• Become more confident taking photos with their DLSR camera or phone.
• Understand the manual settings for photography (Exposure/Shutter Speed, ISO and Aperture) and what difference each makes to an image.
• Appreciate the uses of affordable accessories in the home studio.
• Develop more editing skills and gain confidence in using images online.

At the end of the session, Yeshen will also give you some photo challenges to practise at home!

SESSION 2: INTRODUCTION TO SQUARESPACE
2PM – 6:30PM

During this 4-hour afternoon workshop, you will be introduced to Squarespace, an excellent website building and hosting company.

In this session, an Introduction to Squarespace, you will be shown what Squarespace is and why it is important to have your own website.

Yeshen will get you set up with how to start a free trial site on Squarespace as well as how to create a basic page and add text and images. You will also be guided through how to create a portfolio page and given a brief intro to E-commerce (selling online)!

During this 4-hour session, you will…

• Learn why having your own website is still important.
• Gain an understanding of what Squarespace offers as a content management system and web design platform.
• Become confident in starting a trial site and adding content.
•  Understand how to create and edit a portfolio of images/projects.

These sessions are £75 each, or you can book both sessions together for £150.
Accommodation for this course is also available if you wish to use this for the night before or after.
