Join us for a Private View of Anita’s residency in progress, celebrating Dangel’s latest exploration, “An Armchair of One’s Own” at RuptureXIBIT.
Dangel is our February/March Intensive Mentoring Resident, working with Art Mentors Kate Howe & Sally Minns to develop and push her practice.
About
Anita Dangel is a British-Hungarian multidisciplinary artist with Hungarian and Polish roots. Her work spans painting, fashion, textiles, graphics, and interior design. Dividing her time between London, Budapest, and a tranquil village by the Danube, a setting that inspires much of her recent work.
She earned a Diploma in Portraiture from The Heatherley School of Fine Art in London (2016–2019), where she won the Gillian Foster Prize for Drawing. Her academic background also includes an MA in Fashion and Textile Design from MOME, Budapest (1995), and a Diploma in Interior Design from KLC, London (2014), where she received the RIBA Prize for Spatial Design. This varied training and extensive practical experience enriches her artistic practice.
RuptureXIBIT provides a dynamic, flexible lab space for artists to grow and develop by engaging deeply with their work in ways that feel authentic to them. Experimental means experimental—it’s all about asking more of your practice and exploring new territories!
