If the prostitute is the female equivalent of the proletariat, then who is your uncle?
Eight artists expose their private parts while questioning the integrity of their affective labour, probing its bearing on other urgencies.

About

"My uncle was sex manager at Volkswagen. If he goes on to work as a prostitute, his emancipation will be complete."

"My uncle is an entrepreneur who operates in the grey zone between public good and private advantage, where corporate responsibility is in her own interest, relationships are her capital, and winning depends on how subtly and powerfully she renegotiates the rules. In her spare time, she travels to Norway to LARP and cross-dresses under the name of Atlantis."

"My uncle works on the universal design elements within a national art museum on an oil rig that houses purely immaterial works of contemporary art."

"I have three uncles. One of them works in a coal mine and is crazy. The other is a politician. The third of my uncles is a eco-freak-animal-lover."

"My uncle sits on a porch without sunscreen. He is deep into the anthropocene and believes UVs will die out with SUVs."

"My uncle committed suicide."

"My uncle was a student of Stanford, worked at the world food organisation FAO and is now a professor at a University. The other uncle sitting next to me in the train is now reading a porno magazine. I love both of them."

"One of my uncles died due to an accident on a farm. And nobody noticed he had died for 2 hours. I was really, really sad and thinking about his life. Can you imagine? That nobody sees the moment of your dying? This kind of thing happens often in the world."
