About

Peacock Visual Arts’ end of year exhibition and print sale Printland opens Friday 1st December 2017, 6-8pm and then runs until the 20th January 2018, Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm. The exhibition provides an opportunity to own a unique, limited edition artwork, or pick up an original Xmas gift at a bargain price.

Prints for sale are by local and national artists in a wide range of sizes and styles including abstracts, landscapes, portraits, illustrations, and urban art. There will be something for everyone! All of the prints are made here in Aberdeen and prices start from just £1.

Printland will also mark the launch of Lunar Voyage, a new publication celebrating the recent collaboration between Tom Hammick and Peacock Print Studio. The new publication will be available to buy for £10.

Lunar Voyage is an edition of 17 woodcut prints, 9 of which were printed at Peacock Print Studio. The edition is currently on show at Flowers Gallery in Manhattan, New York, until the 16th December 2017. All works are for sale and prices are available on request.

The new publication launch will coincide with the unveiling of an exciting new mural painted by artist Donald Urquhart, which has been supported by Aberdeen Inspired.

Peacock Visual Arts are a not-for-profit contemporary arts organisation, funded by Creative Scotland and Aberdeen City Council. Every purchase from Peacock Visual Arts directly supports the exhibition and education programmes.

Printland will be held at The W OR M, 11 Castle Street, Aberdeen, AB11 5BQ on the Castle Gate, followed by an after party with NO APOLOGIES, next door at Sinatra’s, from 8pm until late, which will feature music by NJB (Blythswood), ZLOTO, Perth’s Scott Gordon (Oto Hiax) and visuals by VJ.Maya.

All are welcome, entry is free, and drinks will be provided at the opening evening.
