About
Join artist and co-founder of 80’s fashion company Bodymap, David Holah, for fashion inspired printmaking. Use relief printmaking, collage techniques, sewing and embellishment to make a fantastic artwork inspired by artist and textile designer Sonia Delaunay.
Suitable for those with little or no experience of either printmaking or fashion, this course will introduce you to simple printing techniques, using relief surfaces, and basic sewing techniques. It will also be of interest to those with a background in Fine Art, Textiles or Fashion who want to generate new ideas and ways of working. For all participants, the course is about having a great time, and the opportunity to let your creative juices flow.
The course will start with a visit to the Sonia Delaunay exhibition at Tate Modern on Friday 19 July at 7.00pm, where you will take notes, draw and get ideas for your work. (exhibition entry fee not included).
