About

Festivities include taster courses with opportunities for visitors to get inspired and create artworks of their own. Or purchase original prints, cards and handmade items direct from makers at the two-day Tabletop Print Fair. Expect screen printing, linocut, lithography, drypoint, monotype, letterpress and more. An annual showcase at Phoenix Art Space for new and established printmakers.

Selected artists for PRESS + PLAY Festival of Print exhibition are; Alex Peckham, BIP Art, East Side Print, Georgia Flowers, Hannah Forward, Hattie Malcomson, Jacintha Philip, Jenni Allen, Julie Clark, Kate Watkins, Loraine Monk, Marcelina Amelia, Mellissa Fisher, Patrick O’Donnell, Peon Boyle, Philip O’Reilly, Scarlett Rebecca, Sherrie-Leigh Jones, Tidy Print, Volcanic Editions, Will Mower, Dopple Press and a collective of students from University of Brighton’s Printmaking BA.
In the Window Gallery – our dedicated exhibition space for Phoenix studio artists – Luella Martin presents a series of solar plate etchings.
 

FESTIVAL EVENTS

Exhibition Opening
Join us for the preview in-person at Phoenix Art Space on 12 November, 18.00 – 20.00. Printmaker Type Tom will be doing a live letterpress demo on the night.

PRESS+PLAY Tabletop Print Fair
Taking place at Phoenix Art Space from Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 of November. Browse and buy original prints, cards and handmade items direct from the makers. 

Amazing Art Cart
Families are invited to join The Amazing Art Cart for a free creative print making workshop on Saturday 4 December. 

East Side Print: Meet and Make
An evening talk from local print studio, East Side Print, followed by a screen-printing demo. Thursday 9 December, 18.00 – 20.30.
