'Power To The Sheeple' - Mau Mau Goes to the Polls with Election Day Pop Up Show.
About
One of the UK's best known satirical street artists, Mau Mau, returns to London's Westbank Gallery with new show Power To The Sheeple on May 7th - the day the country goes to the polls. Taking an Animal Farm theme this 3 day pop up show takes a cheeky swipe at the process of politics.
As ever, political commentary comes with a healthy sense of humour, with the gallery playing host to a cast of Mau characters on canvas and in installation - from ballot box battery hens and sheep as they haven't been seen before to porcine forces of order and Mau fox deviancy.
The nature of his work - as a street artist consistently unafraid to ask questions about the state of the world at the time - and his longevity on the street art scene has won him an international fan base.
Mau Mau looks forward to working with the Westbank Gallery once again. The west London street art bolt hole hosted Mau Mau's 2012 show Pigs Might Fly, which was voted one of the year's best street art shows.
So this May 7th, cast a vote for the usual suspects, or take a leaf out of Russell Brand's book and head down to the Westbank for a night with Mau Mau...
