THIS MONTH: Birmingham based composer-performer Dan Cippico whose practice explores various mediums such as instrumental music, electronic and mixed media, and memetic-style installations on and off the internet. Belgium based DUOBAAN (accordionist Barbara Ardenois and visual artist Anneleen De Causmaecker) who, seeking the boundaries between music and performance, image and sound, hope not to lose sight of poetry. Bristol based composers Ben Jameson and Harry Matthews who will perform together in a new duo project for the first time. They will each present a new work, highlighting the complex nature of sound through varied means, including investigation of noise pollution and exploration of microtonal tuning systems.
