As part of the Royal Society of Sculptors Third Thursdays we'll be hosting a glorious evening of freestyle embroidery on old postcards and photos.
About
We will be providing lots of old postcards (some black and white, some Disney postcards from the early 90s but lots to play with) and showing you some simple embroidery techniques to embellish the retro imagery.
You are also welcome to bring any postcards or photos from home that you'd like to doodle on with thread - this is a freestyle workshop and you can work your way through as many postcards as you like (we will be bringing plenty). That old picture of your nan at the pub never looked so good!
Take a trip through a printed memory lane with The London Loom and Royal Society of Sculptors this February! We love our workshops at their gallery, the windows and tiles are spectacular and there's always a glass of something to get your creative juices flowing.
