Jean Baudrillard followed up with the concept of simulacrum, and Derrida brought us the concepts of hyper and deconstruction. Nothing is the same. In fact, everything had changed and thinking itself had changed above all else. Modern artists were searching for their own original style, but today it is an impossible goal. Artists can rely on models from the past, use them as their templates, and create their own works, not original but authentic. They have no recognizable style but a recognizable handwriting.
