Post-photography is the latest collection of photographic experiments to emerge from the darkroom of Alec Jackson.Within the confines of his darkroom Alec subverts traditional and modern technologies to challenge preconceptions of what photography is, in the constant search for a new photographic vocabulary. Forget about cameras and f-stops this work engages with photography at its elemental level, whether it's painting with light directly on to a light sensitive surface or collecting and printing the discarded ends of films, each piece of work confront our beliefs of what a photograph is and asks us to question them.
This latest collection of work will be showing at The Photo Gallery at Photographique from the 6th - 18th August.
