About
AM DUMOUCHEL has developed her artistic practice between Ottawa, Gatineau and Montreal. She holds a Master's degree in Visual Arts (University of Ottawa 2014) and teaches silver photography at the University of Ottawa. Finalist for the Prix du CALQ Outaouais 2021 and recipient of the Culturiades 2020 residency grant, she has received grants from the Ontario and Quebec Arts Councils and has participated in several artistic residencies, including at the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has been presented across Canada and internationally. Her work is included in various private and public collections. Under the assumed name of La Marquise de Méricourt, she illustrates extreme metal music albums. She lives and works in Gatineau, Quebec.
