Live Project Space
The work explores the fundamentals and processes of drawing, creating an artist studio space within a gallery to allow the viewer to see the behind-the-scenes of the artwork process.
In this display, the students explored their relationship to landscape and the ways of interpreting and expressing direct experiences of being in the world. The display is a result of a one-day location drawing visit to Brockenhurst in the New Forest, where students investigated experimental approaches to perceiving and visualising the environment through drawing. The students considered a variety of methods for gathering this material, which might be directly observed, mapped, collected, or interpreted from sensory experience.
