The ninth edition of the POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair is taking place from 15 – 18 September 2022 as part of the BERLIN ART WEEK at the former Temphelhof Airport.
About
The POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair is taking place from 15 – 18 September 2022 as part of the BERLIN ART WEEK, transforming the spacious hangars of the former Tempelhof Airport with its apron into a hotspot for the creative scene and the art market. You can look forward to a strong and international line-up and a unique combination of established artistic positions and emerging talents.
We are looking forward to presenting a strong field of participants consisting of 88 galleries from 20 countries including many international newcomers such as IDOLON GALLERY(Taipei | Taiwan), Ivan Gallery (Bucharest | Romania), Akim Monet Fine Arts (Dallas | USA), RAVNIKAR GALLERY SPACE (Ljublijana | Slovenia), lokal_30 (Warsaw | Poland), Anca Poterasu Gallery (Bucharest | Romania), Galerie Baudelaire (Antwerp | Belgium), SCHWARZ CONTEMPORARY (Berlin), Shangup Gallery (Seoul | South Korea), Bernhard Knaus Fine Arts (Frankfurt am Main), GALLERY KOGURE (Tokyo | Japan) and GOLESTANI (Dusseldorf).
An extensive supporting program with special exhibitions, talks, social events, and live music completes the repertoire of the art fair. The popular special exhibition Academy POSITIONS will once again provide an overview of current themes and working methods of the up-and-coming generation of artists, and the curated Selected POSITIONS section will offer new collectors in particular an entry into the art market - with artworks measuring a maximum of 50 x 50 cm and costing less than 1,900 euros. In addition, FASHION POSITIONS will make the interface between fashion and art visible, and stages selected Berlin fashion designers in the context of and in exchange with art.
The POSITIONS Berlin Art Fair is a unique opportunity to discover the diversity of the capital's art and cultural scene, attracting a growing number of collectors, gallery owners, curators, professionals and art enthusiasts from all over the world. The fair always operates according to contemporary developments and offers a lively program that brings together the art market, the contemporary gallery scene and their artistic positions in a unique setting.
