This course is especially designed for emerging photographers that want to step up their game and get insights on how to take control of their career.
About
In this workshop the focus will be to give its participants an overview of what it entails to position your art photography practice. Personalized feedback and practical tools will be given to start professionalizing your artistry.
This course is for all photographers curious into obtaining methods of how-to present themselves within the current industry. Information will be provided around the key players, such as gallerists, curators and publishers. But we will also discuss the possibilities for a photographer to apply for opportunities such as awards and journals.
A personalized and intimate approach is very important to us, as we understand each photographer is unique in its own way. Therefore we will discuss each portfolio and give advice concerning topics such as pricing your work, exhibition opportunities and how-to present your work so that it fits your vision.
Who is giving the course?
Josephine de Fijter (Founder and curator of Uncoated Platform) shares with you her experience and knowledge within the field of photography. It is her mission to bring art photography closer to a broader audience. She believes that an important part is to guide artists with positioning themselves and their work in a professional way. Hereby creating more opportunities and hopefully a sustainable art practice.
