Portsmouth Film Festival - University of Portsmouth

The University of Portsmouth is participating in this year's Portsmouth Film Festival which takes place in a variety of cinemas and locations around the city. SPACE in Eldon Building, Winston Churchill Avenue, will host an exhibition from 5-9 October of short films and video art by the students, recent graduates and alumni from the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries. Film work from a selection of courses or by unit will be shown on individual TVs continuously during opening hours, with each of those having a turn at being projected in a larger format in the mini cinema created in SPACE. For timings of projections please see the timetable below: The exhibition in SPACE will also exhibit a sculptural installation by local artists Helena Eflerova and Kye Wilson. The 'Trimester' installation combines projected video with a tactile screen creating an immersive space that invites the audience to enter and interact. The video shows Helena's live performance exploring an underwater environment.
