This Portraiture workshop will introduce you to working with a limited palette as a way of simplifying colour mixing and to really understand colour temperature. Due to the colour limitation, the Zorn palette leans more to working tonally which is a
great way to learn about colour.
Guidance will be given about structuring your work, proportions, colour mixing and expressive paint handling (all with reference to Anders Zorns paintings).
*Swedish artist Anders Zorn (1860-1920) is best known for his portraits, domestic scenes and nudes in outdoor settings. He is also acclaimed for his use of the four colour palette which is now known as the Zorn Palette.
