About
If Ed Miliband eats a sandwich in the forest and no one is around to see it, does he still get lime pickle on his eyelid?
A one day exhibition investigating the relationship between British politics, the media and the cult of celebrity, which will take place on election day. This body of work constitutes the findings whilst participating in the Project Keyholder Residency at East London Printmakers in Spring 2015. Realised via traditional printmaking methods, this selection of work explores the appropriation and distortion of information via a variety of media outlets, focusing on the junction where considered documentation and fact is sacrificed for entertainment and titillation.
Laurie is an artist, printmaker living and working in London. He has spent the last two months completing a Project Keyholder Residency at ELP. Alongside producing his own work, Laurie runs Vulpes Vulpes; a project space in Bermondsey which hosts exhibitions, performances and workshops. You can read more about Laurie's work and his time at ELP here.
Join us on Thursday 7th May from 6pm - 10pm to support emerging creative talent.
