DEBT collective Artists Sean Millington and Arnar Omarsson collaborate on their first show at (AND/OR) with their site specific installation, ‘Pompidou's Ar-Se'. The inspiration for the work is in direct relation to the potential environments and relations that have been created within the existing space of ‘AND/OR'. We are interested in the potential to create something new from that, which already exists, whether that becomes into physical existence, conceptual, relational or an experience that is created by the viewers interaction/participation. This specific work is essentially about a gallery in a basement of a greasy spoon that's converted into a nightclub twelve times a year. The name of the piece derives from the inspiration taken from Paris' Pompidou centre's architecture. The inside out building was exactly what we wanted to do with the gallery space, the same way that the club night turns the greasy spoon inside out. The Installation will be created out of found or collected wooden pallets from the local area.
