As part of the 30th anniversary celebrations this year, the Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail Trust invite you on a free poetry tour of the Trail.

About

A poetry walk with Stewart Carswell, featuring readings of specially-written poems about sculptures past and present.

More about the poet:
Stewart Carswell grew up in the Forest of Dean.

He has performed his poetry at the Bristol Poetry Festival, and the In Other Words Festival in Cambridge. His poems have recently been published in magazines including Envoi, Cadaverine, and Brittle Star, and included in the Best New British and Irish Poets 2016 anthology (Eyewear Publishing).

His poems are influenced by the mysterious and secretive nature of the Forest, and its unique layers of history.

This walk will not include all the sculptures, but visitors are welcome to explore the rest of the Trail following the initial guided tour.
