Play Ground will see John Hansard Gallery as a test space for new ideas, collaboration and conversation. Together we will consider the question ‘How can play help us to explore individual and collaborative practice?'
About
For four days this July, artists, creatives and practitioners are invited to experiment within the space and develop their practice in potentially new and varied directions through cross-disciplinary collaboration and artist-led activity. The Gallery will also be a site to test new and existing ideas and gain feedback and advice on individual practice.
The content of the week will evolve based on the applications received and the participants involved. We are aware that participants may have other commitments during their week, so attendance to each day is welcome but not compulsory. Throughout the duration, alongside artist-led activities, we hope to have open events such as film screenings and gatherings to share Play Ground with a wider audience.
There will be a small budget for materials for the group during this time.
