Date: Saturday 27 June - Saturday 22 August
Venue: Gallery@ The Civic
Time: 10am - 5pm (Tuesday - Saturday)
Tickets: FREE ADMISSION

Exploring Nick’s passion for drawing, from childhood to his current status as an internationally renowned illustrator and author, the show features many of the well-known characters that Nick has illustrated over the years, including Tracy Beaker, Billy Bonkers, Daisy, Hetty Feather, Caveman Dave and Pirate Pete, as well as a host of animals, and vast quantities of food and clothing.

Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in Nick’s world, as they enter a recreation of his studio filled with the tools of his trade and see the stages involved in creating one of his illustrations. People will also be invited to try their hand at a range of different drawing techniques and materials, including the opportunity to create their own digital ‘Sharracter’.

Pirates, Pants and Wellyphants is supported by funding by Arts Council England and developed by The Civic in collaboration with darts (Doncaster Community Arts) and 20:21 Visual Arts Centre.
