Laura Shevaun Green, Artist.
I paint things!
I draw things!
I write things!
But mostly I make paint...
About
Laura Shevaun Green is a Fylde and Wrye-based artist. She grew up in Blackpool and gain a 1st class Fine Arts and Professional Practice Degree at the local University.
She has exhibited in group exhibitions in several countries. She landed her only major commission in 2018 with 'Painting the Town', although the work was never publically exhibited.
Her practice involves recording, through paint mixing, the 'true' colour of objects found in the town and then having them turned into interior paint to be used by other creatives.
Laura is passionate about supporting her local community and creating work that reflects the voice of the resort through the eyes of the people who live and work here.
" Sharing the paints free of charge with the community is my very small attempt to thank them for their continuous support, it gives me great pleasure to know that they are being used and enjoyed by the town. I only wish I could afford to give any more!"
Free paint will be available at the preview and profits from the sales of print goes directly into buying more paint for the community.
