The Photography Book Fair Weekend will include workshops, talks, and a book fair, giving other photographers and the public the opportunity to discover and buy new publications from across the UK.

About

Taking place throughout the weekend, the Book Fair will offer a hand-picked selection of imaginative publications and independently-published books which are not available on the high street! You can bag a bargain with special offers on Impressions Gallery's own books showcasing contemporary photographers, and there'll also be covetable Photoworks publications, many of which are out of print, as well as some of the coolest international photography magazines from France, the Netherlands and Canada. Talks include Dewi Lewis (founding Director of Cornerhouse and Director of Dewi Lewis publishing, one of the world's leading photographic publishers) and David Moore (widely exhibited and published photographer, whose work The Last Things can be seen at Impressions Gallery until 8 November 2009). Other events include a workshop looking at how to self publish your own photographic work and an illustrated talk about the use of photography in artist's books.
