About

One-to-one Tutorials with Olivia Swinscoe NWA

Our new one-hour, one-to-one sessions for artists seeking to improve their ability to photograph their artwork and prepare images for online use.

The session will provide helpful tips on camera settings, lighting, and post-processing techniques and will result in at least one professional image of one artwork.

This workshop is suitable for all abilities. Those seeking more extensive guidance can book two sessions back-to-back.

Olivia will have her own equipment on-hand, but we encourage attendees to bring the kit they have so they can apply the skills learnt back at home.

Time slots available:

Session 1, 10:30 – 11:30am

Session 2, 11:45am – 12:45pm

Session 3, 1:15 – 2:15pm

Session 4, 2:30 – 3:30pm

Session 5, 3:45 – 4:45pm

When booking, please let gallery staff know the following:

+ Which time slot you would like.

+ What equipment you will bring (e.g. your phone, an i-pad, a laptop, a camera, etc.)

+ What artwork you will bring (e.g. a painting in a frame, a photo in a glazed frame, a piece of pottery, etc.)

+ If there are any particular areas you would like to focus on (e.g. how to set up a photo shoot more so than how to to post-processing)

Before attending, please ensure that you...

+ Fully charge your equipment.

+ Bring power cables and chargers for your equipment.

+ Update your devices so they won't have a re-start or require updating during the session.

+ Bring connecting cables and/or relevant memory cards for connecting and transferring files between your devices (e.g. if working with a digital camera and a laptop, bring their USB cables, SD cards, etc. )
