Photographic gaps, Where do you think you are going?

Photography can be boring. Photography is boring most of the time. We see pictures that claim to lend themselves to interpretation but they do not. Photography works as art because of what you see on a picture but even more importantly because of what you dont see on a picture. What you dont see is as important as what you see. Most photos, however, paternalize our phantasy in that they provoke us to imagine context that origina...tes in and corresponds to clichee, prejudice, empty gesture. We cannot but see and interpret pictures in exactly the way the photographer wants us to and forces us to through means of composition. This is fake, this is symbolism, this is no experience at all. This is why we explain everything. This is why this is probably no photography exhibition.
