This three hour workshop will introduce the fundamentals of the darkroom process of photograms.
About
Drawing inspiration from László Moholy-Nagy, we will look at both contemporary and classic examples of the process.
After a brief history and practical introduction to the technique, the workshop will explore the creative possibilities that this simple interaction of light, objects and light sensitive paper offers.
Participants are invited to test and consider the potential outcomes on the everyday objects and materials they bring along, and enjoy this transformative process.
This workshop is led by artist and photographer Verdi Yahooda. Her area of expertise lies with analogue photography and darkroom processes. She has exhibited at The Photographers' Gallery, London; John Hansard Gallery, Southampton; Ffotogallery, Cardiff; The Ein Harod Museum, Israel; Yale Center for British Art, USA.
No previous photography or darkroom experience necessary, and all materials included in the fee.
