About

Museum 52 is pleased to present Philip Hausmeier's debut solo exhibition in London, When leaves fall they return to the root, When I come I'll have no mouth. Using a language of deconstructed forms, the productive fiction of collage, and a dynamic engagement with base materials, Philip Hausmeier creates a series of interconnecting structures which form darkly observed monuments to a fragmented self. Hausmeier's densely worked structures, which draw on primal and mythological symbolism, as much as they do from cool minimalism and the refined delicacies of kitsch probe the fault line of how we understand and describe experience and object. They present a dynamic, fragmented and alogical world.
