About

EXHIBIT at Golden Lane Estate is proud to present The Desire of Impermanence by Peter Ibruegger. The Desire of Impermanence is a new body of work by artist and designer Peter Ibruegger. The exhibition sees further expression of Peter's research, exploration and fascination with archetypes. On show over both floors at Exhibit are a collection of ink drawings, a range of conceptual ceramic tiles, new developments of the self-sucking Neurotic Narcissism project and a handmade patchwork tapestry. Each individual piece has been lovingly created, with delicacy and devotion. This new body of work for 2008 sees Peter toy with the themes of duality, repression, loss and desire. The Desire of Impermanence collection was inspired by Peter's mixed German and Chinese heritage, and his investigations into duality of symbolism across the nations. Peter's process is one of ‘dialogue with environment' and he continues to dance the line between beauty, repellence and desire.
