About
The work I'm making is formed from the impressions and images that stuck with me from my brief visit to Las Vegas. The place is fascinating and strange and in natural or very natural. The work is, as I see them, memories of the plastic cancan dancers and plastic horses. Plastic things hiding a plastic world that we created and in turn attempted to conceal with more of the same, all we knew how to make. But it's also ok because it's not all bad I guess, there is a hint of something nice in that town, behind the crowds of people. I guess that's everywhere though, that hope that things are better than they seem. - Peter Bellamy
