In conjunction with the exhibition "The Intersectional Self," the Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation is pleased to present a performance by Kalup Linzy.

About

Using soap opera as a backdrop, artist Kalup Linzy explores cultural stereotypes based on sexuality, race and gender in his video and performance works. He pushes the boundaries of gender and identity through parody and drag personae, manipulating pre-recorded voices through video editing to play with different dialects that inform our perception of status. On May 4, Linzy will perform a selection of songs at The 8th Floor.
