An intimate performance by Erica Scourti, followed by dinner, drinks and conversation.

About

New for 2019, Performance as Publishing presents At Home, a new performance series in the spirit of a zine. Low tech, DIY and in an intimate circle, it is conceived as a vessel for exchange and encounters in an informal evening ‘at home’.

As a new, itinerant project, each evening event will be held in a domestic setting, with a performance, dinner, drinks and conversation. The first one will take place in Clapton on 9th March 2019. Tickets start at £10 and include performance & dinner. A pay bar will be available.

Season 1 will comprise three events, across London, featuring a different artist each time. We’re pleased to announce Erica Scourti as our inaugural At Home artist.

Exit Script (Partner Piece)
Developing parts of her video installation Exit Scripts, which used verbal 'emotional valence' software to analyse and re-edit a collection of voice memos according to levels of arousal, Erica Scourti presents a performance in two registers exploring micro-grievances, erotic energies and unspoken vibes.

Erica Scourti is an artist and writer, born in Athens and now based mostly in London. Recent solo shows include Chief Complaint at Almanac, London and Spill Sections at StudioRCA (both 2018); group shows include the High Line, New York, Wellcome Collection, Kunsthalle Wien, Hayward Gallery, EMST Athens. Her writing has been published in Spells: 21st Century Occult Poetry (Ignota Press, 2018) and Fiction as Method (Sternberg, 2017) amongst others. Scourti is guest editor of the Happy Hypocrite journal (forthcoming 2019).
