About
‘Perfect 10’ is an exhibition of hand-painted wood with neon, inspired by memories of a family road trip from Canada to New Mexico that Westgate made in the 1980s. The pieces are based around classic American roadside Motel signs and signify the romance of the open road, travel and the glamour of neon signage.
The exhibition also features film installation ‘The Sandpit’ by Sam O’Hare, which tells the story of a day in New York City, using tilt shift special effects to make the city appear in miniature. Originally shared online, the piece soon attracted millions of views and was promptly bought by MOMA in NYC for their permanent film collection.
