People and Places is a London-based art collective exploring themes like climate, community and well-being. With the intension to foster creativity, engagement, and social impact.
About
People and Places is an innovative art and design collective consisting of 14 emerging practitioners hailing from across London and beyond. This dynamic group of creatives first captured attention with a successful debut exhibition in Hoxton, showcasing a diverse range of work that explored a variety of urgent contemporary issues. For their second iteration, the collective returns with an expanded selection of both new and pre-existing works, each of which addresses critical themes such as climate change, community, and well-being. The works on display are not just functional objects; they are thought-provoking narratives that invite viewers to reconsider their relationship with the world around them and challenge preconceived perceptions.Central to this iteration of People and Places is a shared belief that exhibition spaces should be more than passive venues for presentation. Instead, the collective sees these spaces as living, breathing hubs for creativity and collaboration—platforms where new ideas can flourish and where artists, designers, and audiences can actively engage with one another.
With this vision in mind, People and Places introduces KRAFTWERK, an exciting and interactive series of workshops, events, talks, and conversations designed to foster public participation and the dissemination of knowledge. Whether through hands-on activities, collaborative discussions, or skill-building workshops, KRAFTWERK offers an opportunity for people from all walks of life to explore the intersections of art, design, and social engagement in ways that are both thought-provoking and practical.
