About
'Immoral, licentious, anarchical, unscientific – call them by what names you will – yet, from an aesthetic point of view, those ancient days of the Colour Revolt were the glorious childhood of Art in Flatland.’
Edwin A. Abbott – Flatland (1884)
Drawing inspiration from Edwin A. Abbott’s novella Flatland, Paul Hillon presents new work that explores various approaches to working within the two dimensions using unconventional techniques and media. As a brief departure from his current practice that is centred around the design and production of geometric sculptural forms exploring the interaction between viewer, spatial dimensions & fortified structures, Hillon examines possible opportunities and limitations of working in this discipline.
