Sock Gallery's first Collaborative exhibition opens at Loughborough Town Hall on 30 November bringing together three artists from the East Midlands. Helen Hallows, Helen Rhodes and Sue Vanderplank have joined forces for ‘Patterned Presence' a celebration of their shared love of pattern and colour. The triumvirate of talent all have their roots in textiles but now work on paper to create framed pieces. Between them they use techniques as diverse as painting, stitching, collaging, tearing, burnishing and printing to create exquisite works of art. The exhibition that runs through the Christmas period will present a range of affordable gifts. Ceramics featuring the artists' work, limited edition prints, as well as stunning one off original works of art. There is also a chance to meet the artists, who will be in the gallery on the weekends of the 3rd, 10th and 17th from 2.00-4.00pm. Feel free to drop in, have a chat and ask questions about the work. Entry to the SOCK Gallery is free and exhibition pieces, greetings cards and prints will be available for purchase.
