New work from Royal College of Art Printmakers Second Year Students.
An important part of the professional practice element of the Printmaking course at the Royal College of Art is an exhibition opportunity provided in collaboration with the Cafe Gallery. Each year group of students hang a show and work together on the curation and installation of their work. The students collectively choose a title and design the invite, in itself an exercise in negotiation!.
Each show is accompanied by a whole day discussion with an invited critic and academic staff which always proves to be a stimulating debate. The variety of work on show stretches definitions of print and demonstrates the preoccupations of young artists working in London today.
