Paper Papier reunites Emmanuelle Loiselle and Sam Eugène at the Genesis Gallery. Composed of drawings, etchings and finished works, this exhibition presents to the viewer a comprehensive vision of their practice through works on paper exclusively.
About
Sam Eugène’s Highlight Series primarily focus on juxtaposing the main visual characteristics that construct graffiti and its aesthetics. Additionally the works also concern the academic acceptance of graffiti and the self-taught. Emmanuelle Loiselle uses drawing and etching as a part of her investigations on female domesticity and fabrics. Her etchings have become emblems of her everyday life as a painter and as a mother. The watercolour sketches constitute the departure point for the production of her installations and paintings.
