About

Yinka Shonibare, MBE has said that his work is not about the representation of politics, but about the politics of representation. What does this mean, and how do we interpret this in today's global art world? Help bring ‘Nelson's Ship in a Bottle' to Greenwich by enjoying an inspiring evening of intellectual debate. Sip wine and enjoy the company of Christine Riding, Head of Arts at the National Maritime Museum who chairs our distinguished panel which includes John Picton, Emeritus Professor of African Art at the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies; Jorrella Andrews, Head of the Visual Cultures Department at Goldsmiths University of London; and Paul Goodwin, a former Tate curator and a research fellow at Goldsmiths.
