Looking at the detritus of his studio, painter Charlie Day became fascinated by the many and varied forms he saw when he reached for another tube of paint. Each one, as it lay there, seemed to have its own personality, each exuded its own particular feeling. Some appeared happy, others sad, or lazy, or comic. He has tried to capture the essence of some of his favourite tubes of paint.
