Exciting visual arts event Paint The Town is taking place on Saturday 26th June 2021. The challenge is to create an artwork in your chosen medium, capturing Blackburn with Darwen and its people, within just one day.
About
Paint the Town is an arts competition taking place over the course of one day. You must create an artwork in any medium, digital or non-digital, of Blackburn with Darwen and its people, between 8am and 6pm on 26th June.
You can paint / create ‘en plain air’ in Blackburn town centre, or work from your home or garden as an online candidate.
Your work must be submitted by 6pm on the day, and then a judging panel will decide the winner of each digital and non-digital category. Amazing cash prizes are available for the winners!
The work will be judged by a panel of experts and subsequently exhibited in a covid-safe exhibition.
We also have categories for younger artists and 'just for fun.
Paint the Town is organised by The Bureau Centre for the Arts, and supported by Blackburn BID, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blakey Moor Townscape Heritage.
