‘Paint Out’ is a multi-faceted event aiming to redefine en plein air art practice. Our core event is the premier juried en plein air competition in the United Kingdom, celebrating the talents of national and international artists to a wide and growing audience in the heart of Medieval Norwich.
About
On October 20, 2015, ‘Paint Out’ Norwich will host a four day programme of events followed by a week long exhibition. The events start with a two-day timed en plein air competition welcoming up to 50 local and international artists to create work in response to Norwich’s stunning cityscape. The work produced will be on view during a ticketed exhibition preview gala, awards ceremony, and auction to be held on Friday October 23rd in the Norwich Cathedral Hostry. The exhibition will be open to the public until Saturday October 30st. This year ‘Paint Out’ Norwich will be expanding its programme by organising a nocturne event, a ‘group draw’ featuring the expansive Norwich view from Mousehold Heath, and a children's event. ‘Paint Out’ Norwich is seeking sponsorship support for this year’s event from local organizations that understand, embrace and want to help promote the arts and highlight the region's rich heritage.
