About
Bloomers, named after women's rights advocate Amelia Bloomer, were developed in the 19th century as an alternative to the constricting dresses worn by the women of the time. They came to signify freedom for women during the suffrage movement.
This workshop is being hosted with partners Cowley Road Carnival as part of a year-long national celebration of the centenary of some women gaining the right to vote.
