Chris Ellison is a familiar face on our TV screens but what is not so well known is that he is also an accomplished artist having trained at both Wimbledon and Camberwell schools of art.
Chris has always kept his artwork gently simmering in the background to his work as an actor and incidentally is playing the lead role of Captain Hook in the pantomime here at Watersmeet this year!
Chris Ellison was born in London sometime in the last century. Chris always showed a talent for drawing, so much so, that at an early age a teacher advised his parents to send him to a phyciatrist because of the disturbing monster images he was producing!
Art remained his strong subject through school years and it was a natural progression that Chris then moved on to art college, firstly at Wimbledon and then Camberwell.
It was while at Camberwell that the acting side came out whilst working in stage management at the Richmond theatre at the weekends. Chris was offered a couple of roles to play and that was that. He moved into another world but always kept his art going in the background.
Now Chris is concentrating on the art side once again with a regular output of work and is delighted to be exhibiting here at Artistsmeet.
Original artworks are all for sale.
