An exhibition of works by the untapped artistic talents of the staff at Walker Books:

About

Alex Page, Andrew Harsant, Andrew Watson, Andy Soameson, Barry Timms, Bjorn Birk, Caroline Dewing, Cheryl Lynn, Christopher Breckon, Fiona Darley, Floron Florenzo, Isabelle Gamon, Jacky Paynter, Jim Bunker, John Bennett, Juliet Miles, Mark Butcher, Rekha Patel, Sarah Hawkins, Sarah Hayes, Sarah Robinson, Sophie Burdess and Tim Rogers

In deepest darkest Vauxhall sits an old bedding factory. Within its four walls there now lie the offices of Walker Books, Britain's leading independent children's book publisher. Day after day the staff strive to produce the most innovative, imaginative, wacky and wonderful books for children: books with parrots, penguins, pirates and planes and, also lots of other things not beginning with P. But what happens when the computers are shut down, when the voicemail is on, the lights are switched off for the night and The Bear is put to bed...What happens when everyone is Out of Office?

Out of Office is a showcase for the untapped artistic talents of the staff at Walker Books. Some of the artists taking part are designers by trade, but for many, unbridled creativity is not a part of their usual 9-5. Some work in sales, some in marketing, production, accounts, contracts or catering...but all have accessed the right side of their brain (the creative bit apparently!) to produce a fantastic! Nay a marvellous and diverse array of work! Honest!

There are no limitations on subject or media so there is a veritable assortment of pieces on show, from printing and photography to film and musical arrangements, with jewellery and painting squeezed in between!
