We’re kicking off the gallery's 2022 programme with the exhibition 'Otherworlds', featuring works by prominent Welsh/Wales-based artists, curated by the MADE Team.
About
Exhibiting Artists: Susan Adams, Jo Berry, Zena Blackwell, Charlotte Brisland, Tess Gray, Richard James, Will Roberts, Emily Unsworth White.
Otherworlds will present a collection of works which delve deep into views and states of worlds which parallel, or sit outside the ordinary. Painting being the medium where the fantastic, imaginary, or hypnagogic states can visualise the surreal, artificial, post-apocalyptic landscape as populated places. References range from science fiction, comic books, virtual reality, to symbolism, and give sight to dreams, fears and revels in the spaces on the edge of the conscious or known worlds, allowing us to walk among it.
