For the sixth year running Espacio printmakers and invited artists will exhibit original hand pulled prints and be available to explain printmaking techniques. There will be a day of printmaking demonstrations during this exhibition.
Celebrating the art of the original print, the eighteen experienced printmakers have exhibited widely in London venues including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Affordable Art Fair and Bankside Gallery and also internationally. The participating artists are all based in the UK and this year includes a strong contribution from East Anglian printmakers.
Visitors will be able to explore two floors of framed and unframed prints and discover a wide variety of art that is both innovative and affordable. There will also be an education room filled with the ‘tools of the trade’ and one of the printmakers will always be present to explain how prints are made and answer any questions.
On Sunday 5th November there will be an afternoon of printmaking demonstrations in the gallery from 1 to 5pm. This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
Zelda Eady, curator of the show, summarises the ethos of the show:
“We want to share with people our enthusiasm and love for this timeless discipline, which can produce exciting contemporary art using traditional methods.”
